Two Days, Twenty-Eight Degrees

I love writing about the weather on this blog because true seasons is something I haven't really experienced in my life. So of course my first autumn in the city is going to be a little delayed... this weekend it was in the mid-60s. A little depressing for mid-November.

However, the cool chill is back, and as Jenny and I experienced on an outing this weekend, it brought heavy, gusty and freezing cold winds with it. I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and my khaki trench because the weather report said it was going to be warm, but as we walked to get food and then back to the train, it was so cold I had to let out one of those heavy chest grunts you do when it's freezing.

So I guess I got my wish, and with reports of snow coming from Christine in Chicago, I can only hope that within the month we'll have the same. After all, it is November 17 – just over a month until winter officially kicks in, and I want my coldness!

Rain/snow showers are on the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow, so I may just get my wish soon.
