I've been feeling like coming back, so here I am. And with me comes a new layout/design scheme. A 2.0, if you will. Or, as I'm more formally calling it, year two. And that's literally what this little reboot is, really. I moved to New York on May 30, 2008, and now it's now July 12, 2009. And as odd as that is, what's really making me feel like I've been here a year is the upcoming one year anniversary in my apartment in East Harlem. July 28 is a year, and since I've re-signed the lease, here's to another great one.
Thinking back to where I was a year ago from now is bizarre. I feel like I've changed, grown, and experienced more than I did in my four years of college. As I wrote in my new intro (to the right), life right now is really good. I'm finally settled into a job and writing more than I ever have in my life, my social life has really fallen into place and kicked itself into high gear, I'm experiencing the city and culture and restaurants and different neighborhoods like never before. I'm at a great place, and hopefully it will last.
For the new theme, I wanted the blog to be a lot lighter. The deep oranges and blacks of the original layout were starting to encroach on me and discourage me from blogging. Now, things are bright, things are white, things are blue. I'm happy with it, and with the reinvigoration of my interest in blogging.
And that's it. Great life, great job, back to blogging. There really isn't anything else I can add to that.
