WTC at WTC

I don't know what I can say about Sept. 11 that hasn't already been said or that I didn't say last year, but I do have a few points and photos I can contribute. This is the first 9/11 that I've worked in 7 World Trade Center, which (obviously) overlooks the site, so I've checked in a few times today to see what's going on down there. Construction is halted and there's a steady stream of victim's families visiting the memorial pool. And when Meghan and I went to lunch earlier, there was a rowdy group of protesters outside my building shouting things like, "This building is owned by a traitor!" and "Investigate 9/11!" The mood down here is somber and the streets are much slower and quieter than usual. In the office, everything is the same and everyone is here. It's dark and rainy and windy outside, which seems a bit sudden considering the beautiful weather we've had over the past week or two.

There it is, my obligatory 9/11 from New York from the World Trade Center post. What can you really say about it, at this point? All day I've tended to end my thoughts on it with, "That's that." So, that's that.

Protesters outside 7 World Trade. Building security locked the
rotating doors and selectively let people in and out.

Family members visit the pool, the round circle at the top of the photo.
